DLA Piper expands Calgary office with addition of David McDonald

by HR Law Canada

DLA Piper (Canada) LLP has announced the arrival of David McDonald to its Calgary office, where he joins the Employment and Labour group.

With a focus on employment, labour, and administrative law, McDonald brings a wealth of experience to the firm.

Having appeared before all levels of Court in New Brunswick, McDonald has a strong litigation background. He has also represented clients in various matters before Occupational Health and Safety Act arbitration, Public Service Labour Relations adjudication, Canada Labour Code adjudication, and the New Brunswick Human Rights Commission.

McDonald’s extensive expertise includes negotiating agreements, drafting a wide range of legal documents such as pleadings, court documents, memoranda, opinions, employment agreements, policies, and briefs. He has handled cases involving employment standards, labour grievances, human rights, occupational health and safety, as well as complex multi-jurisdictional and multi-party disputes.

One of McDonald’s key strengths lies in his ability to build lasting relationships with his clients. He takes pride in delivering exceptional legal services in a practical and efficient manner.

A native of Calgary, McDonald is delighted to return home after practicing law in Saint John, N.B., for the past two years. Being closer to his family is an added bonus for him.
