Hicks Morley adds Ryan Markesic to its Toronto office

by HR Law Canada

Hicks Morley has expanded its legal team with the addition of Ryan Markesic, who has joined the firm as a labour and employment lawyer in the Toronto office. Markesic, known for his expertise in litigation, employment law, and labour relations, will be advising employers on a wide range of workplace issues.

Markesic brings a broad legal background to his new role, having represented employers before tribunals, arbitrators, and courts. His practice extends across Canada and the United States, with his legal credentials including calls to the Bars of Ontario, Yukon, British Columbia, and the state of New York.

In his approach to law, Markesic emphasizes a client-focused perspective, aiming to understand the unique business objectives and needs of each client. “Ryan enjoys getting to know his clients and developing an understanding of their business objectives and needs to best solve their legal issues and provide sound advice,” the firm noted in a statement.

Before joining Hicks Morley, Markesic was with a boutique labour and employment law firm in Vancouver, where he advised employers on various workplace matters. He also served as a judicial law clerk at the British Columbia Court of Appeal for Justices Fitch and Goepel.

Hicks Morley, a law firm specializing in labour and employment law, expressed enthusiasm about Markesic’s arrival, stating that his experience and approach would be valuable assets to the firm and its clients.
