by HR Law Canada

HR Law Canada has unveiled its 2025 Awards Program, a celebration of innovation and leadership in employment law, workplace advocacy, and HR excellence. The awards program aims to highlight the individuals and organizations that have significantly impacted Canada’s workplaces through their expertise, advocacy, and commitment to justice and fairness.

The awards feature 12 categories, including:

• Employment Law Case of the Year
• Hall of Fame
• Top 25 Under 40
• Top 10 Law Firm – Boutique
• Top 10 Law Firm – Full Service
• Workplace Safety Advocate of the Year
• Mental Health Leadership Award
• Corporate Social Responsibility Award
• Lawyer of the Year: Management Side
• Lawyer of the Year: Worker Side
• Workplace Investigator of the Year

Nominations are open until Feb. 28, 2025, and winners will be announced in April 2025.

Todd Humber, publisher of HR Law Canada, said the awards program was designed to shine a spotlight on those shaping the future of employment law and workplace fairness.

“Employment law is the backbone of a just and equitable workplace,” Humber said. “Through this program, we want to celebrate the professionals, law firms, and organizations that go above and beyond to create better outcomes for workers and employers. Their work often goes unnoticed, but it has a profound impact on millions of Canadians.”

The program also includes categories to recognize excellence in mental health leadership, corporate social responsibility, and both boutique and full-service law firms.

“Canada’s employment law community is filled with inspiring leaders and innovators,” Humber said. “These awards are an opportunity to recognize their hard work and elevate their contributions to a national stage.”

Nominations can be submitted through HR Law Canada’s website, and the winners will be featured in the publication. More details, including submission criteria and deadlines, are available at hrlawcanada.com/awards.
