Dentons names employment lawyers Virginie Dandurand, Roxana Jangi partners in Canada

Dentons has announced 18 new partners in Canada, effective Feb. 1, 2023, including two employment lawyers — Virginie Dandurand and Roxana Jangi.

Virginie Dandurand

A partner based in Dentons’ Montréal office, Virginie Dandurand’s practice encompasses all aspects of employment and labour law.

She represents and provides advice to unionized and non-unionized employers on a variety of employment matters, including human rights, employment standards, employee complaints, corporate restructurings and acquisitions, downsizings, as well as performance and absenteeism management. She also drafts and negotiates employment and service agreements as well as confidentiality, non-solicitation or non-competition clauses.

Virginie provides strategic advice to clients, both in the context of the daily management of their workforce and of major commercial transactions. She advises clients on all aspects of their working relationship and represents them before civil court or administrative tribunals.

Roxana Jangi

Roxana Jangi is a partner in our Employment and Labour group. Her practice focuses on the management side of labour, employment, human rights, occupational health and safety, and privacy law.

Roxana offers legal and strategic advice to both federally and provincially regulated employers on issues such as collective agreement interpretation, collective bargaining, employee discipline, interpretation and application of labour and employment legislation, accommodations in the workplace, work place investigations, labour arbitrations and wrongful dismissal actions. She also assists employers in the drafting, implementation and application of executive contracts, employment agreements, non-competition and confidentiality provisions, drug and alcohol testing practices, harassment policies, and general employment policies and practices.

Roxana has appeared before various levels of court in Alberta, as well as the Alberta Labour Relations Board, grievance arbitration boards and human rights tribunals.
