Christopher J. Wiebe has joined Lawson Lundell’s Landmark office in Kelowna, B.C. as a partner as part of the merger agreement with Petraroia Langford LLP.
The Kelowna Landmark Office was launched in February 2023 when the firm joined forces with Petraroia Langford LLP, strengthening the firm’s legal services and capabilities in the Okanagan Region and beyond, according to its website.
Wiebe is a member of the firm’s Labour, Employment & Human Rights, and Litigation & Dispute Resolution Groups. He was previously a partner at Petraroia Langford LLP, and was at Farris LLP for more than 20 years before that, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Wiebe’s labour and employment practice focuses on management-side labour and employment law, according to his profile on Lawson Lundell’s website.
“His practice includes advising and acting for clients on day-to-day labour and employment issues, mergers and acquisitions, grievances, arbitrations and mediations, human rights, employment standards, workers compensation, privacy, wrongful dismissal and post employment competition,” it said.
Chris has appeared before all levels of court in British Columbia and in matters before other provincial and federal courts and tribunals, and labour and commercial arbitrators.
