Fred Thiessen and Tamara Reimer have joined Fillmore Riley LLP’s labour and employment law team in Winnipeg.
Fred Thiessen
Thiessen’s practice focuses on labour and employment law, according to his bio on the firm’s website.
“He provides advice and assistance regarding collective bargaining, arbitrations and adjudications, employment contracts, certifications, unfair labour practices, discipline, terminations and accommodations,” it said.
“Fred has appeared before all levels of Manitoba Courts, the Federal Court of Canada, as well as the Supreme Court of Canada. He also routinely appears before arbitration and adjudication panels, the Manitoba Labour Board, the Canada Industrial Relations Board, and the Manitoba Human Rights Commission.”
Tamara Reimer
Reimer is an associate and practises primarily employment and labour law and civil litigation.
“Tamara has experience acting in a variety of employment related matters, providing advice and guidance in all aspects of employment and labour law. She assists clients with collective bargaining, arbitrations and mediation, unfair labour practices, employment contracts, discipline, terminations, and other important workplace issues,” according to her bio on the firm’s website. “She assists with claims for wrongful and constructive dismissal and is committed to helping clients create a safe and positive work environment for all.”
“In her litigation practice, Tamara acts on behalf of clients having a broad range of claims, including insurance and professional liability matters. She also deals with an array of general litigation disputes, including personal injury, construction, defamation, and other property-related matters.”
