Angela Powell is joining Toronto-based Sherrard Kuzz LLP. The firm said she will lead its workplace safety and insurance practice.
“Angela is a dynamic force in workplace safety and insurance with more than 20 years’ experience in both private practice and the highest levels of government and policy making,” it said in a LinkedIn post announcing the move.
This includes 12 years at the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board as Chief Legal Officer, and Vice President – Policy and Consultation Services.
Prior to the WSIB, Powell held several leadership positions at eHealth Ontario, the Ontario Cabinet Office and the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development, and has been a Senior Policy Advisor to the Ontario Minister of Labour.
