by HR Law Canada

Debbie Preston has joined Vancouver’s Harris & Company LLP as an associate.

The firm made the announcement in a LinkedIn post, touting her “experience across various facets of workplace law, including wrongful dismissals and contract breaches.”

Preston said she was “thrilled” to be joining the team at Harris.

“I am passionate about the relational aspects of my practice, and thrive on building strong connections with clients to provide comprehensive and creative solutions for the most challenging workplace issues,” she said.

In her firm bio, Harris & Company touts her experience navigating human rights complaints and WorkSafeBC matters.

“Debbie provides clients with strategic advice regarding privacy matters, employment contract and policy drafting. She thrives under stressful situations, and has a strong ability to navigate unexpected curveballs,” it says. “Her client-centered philosophy is built on her personable, collaborative and team-focused mindset. Debbie believes in a compassionate approach, but does not shy away from a challenge.”

She was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2020. She holds a JD and a Bachelor of Child & Youth Care (with distinction) from the University of Victoria.
