Bennett Jones, a national law firm founded in Calgary in 1922, has announced the opening of a new office in Montréal.
The firm’s expansion aims to provide better service to clients by serving them where they do business, it said in a press release.

Experienced professionals
Bennett Jones has launched its Montréal office with a team of experienced professionals, including Pascale Dionne-Bourassa, Partner; Monique Mercier, Senior Advisor; and Jacinthe Landry, Director of Administration.
Pascale Dionne-Bourassa brings over 25 years of experience in large-scale and complex civil and commercial litigation and construction law.
Monique Mercier, with extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions and risk management, was most recently Executive Vice-President, Corporate Affairs, Chief Legal and Governance Officer of TELUS.
Jacinthe Landry, who began her career as a lawyer, has 25 years of experience in the legal and business sectors.

The launch of the firm in Québec is a testament to the strength of the Québec economy and the interest of Canadian and foreign investors in it, the law firm said.
Bennett Jones’ Montréal office is located in the heart of Montréal’s financial district, occupying a full floor of more than 20,000 sq. ft. in Maison Manuvie. The building is BOMA BEST Platinum, LEED Gold Core & Shell and ENERGY STAR certified.
