Mitchell Smith has joined Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) as a partner in the firm’s Labour & Employment group.
“Clients trust Mitchell to resolve complex employment and commercial disputes,” BLG said in a press release. “He has extensive experience litigating wrongful competition matters between employers and employees, shareholder oppression disputes between corporate executives and companies, and in the law of restrictive covenants, breach of confidentiality and fiduciary duties.”
“Mitchell is a strong civil litigator who has argued cases in all levels of civil court in Ontario,” said Graham Walker, National Group Head, Specialized Disputes. “He is valued by clients for his pragmatic approach to complex motions, trials, appeals and judicial reviews. We are proud to welcome him to BLG.”
BLG’s Labour & Employment group works closely with other specialized teams across the firm, including those focused on fraud, class actions, mergers and acquisitions, bankruptcy and insolvency, and shareholder disputes.
“With labour and employment specialists across Canada, we can assemble the best team to meet your specific needs and seamlessly deliver timely, effective strategies and results,” the firm said.
