Kyle McCreary has been appointed as the chairperson of the Labour Relations Board. He replaces Justice Michael J. Morris who was recently appointed to the Court of King’s Bench in Regina, and who served as the board chairperson since March 8, 2023.

“I know that Kyle McCreary’s’ experience in a variety of roles in the Ministry of Justice will serve him well as the chairperson of the Labour Relations Board,” Labour Relations and Workplace Safety Minister Don McMorris said. “I also want to thank the previous chair, Justice Morris, for his leadership and wish him well in his new role in serving the people of Saskatchewan.”

McCreary began his career as a public servant in 2013 in the Constitutional Law Branch of the Ministry of Justice and Attorney General. He also served in the Civil Law Branch before becoming the director of Litigation.

McCreary received his Juris Doctor with distinction from the University of Saskatchewan and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Carleton University.

The Saskatchewan Labour Relations Board is a quasi-judicial tribunal and is the appellate body for appeals from decisions rendered by adjudicators in respect of matters under employment standards and occupational health and safety provisions in The Saskatchewan Employment Act. As chair of the Labour Relations Board, McCreary will oversee board activities and conduct appeal hearings.
