Perry Yung joins Ogletree Deakins in Toronto as an associate

Ogletree Deakins has announced the addition of Perry Yung as an associate in its Toronto office. With a background in labour and employment law, Yung brings a wealth of experience and a dedication to representing both employers and employees across a range of legal issues.

Yung joins Ogletree Deakins from a prominent full-service firm in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where he practiced labour and employment law as well as civil litigation. During his time there, he appeared before multiple levels of courts and tribunals, including the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia, the Nova Scotia Labour Board, and the Canada Industrial Relations Board.

Yung holds a Juris Doctor and Certificate in Business Law from Dalhousie University. During his studies, he completed a Public Law Placement with the Department of Justice’s Office of Legislative Counsel, further honing his expertise in legislative matters. In 2024, he also earned a Certificate in Intensive Trial Advocacy from the University of New Brunswick, bolstering his litigation skills.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Yung is an avid Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner and a devoted fan of the San Francisco 49ers, Giants, and New York Rangers.
