An independent human rights board of inquiry in the matter of Timothy Parsons vs. Bedford Investments Ltd., operating as Sunnyside Restaurant and True North Diner, will begin Monday, July 17, in Halifax.
Mr. Parsons alleges Bedford Investments Ltd., his employer, discriminated against him based on his race and/or colour and/or gender. Mr. Parsons also alleges he was sexually harassed.
The board chair for the hearing is Dennis James, who is independent of the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission.
The hearing will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission’s hearing room – Suite 304, Park Lane Terraces, 5657 Spring Garden Rd.
