Aird & Berlis has announced that Dillon Collett, Sean Green, Cathy Jares, Naomi Mares, Felix Ng, Alexandra Raponi and Josh Suttner have become partners of the firm.
Dillon Collett is a member of the firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution Group, and maintains a diverse corporate, commercial and financial services litigation practice. He is well-versed in handling contractual disputes, injunctions, class actions, construction law, intellectual property law, environmental, shareholder and regulatory disputes, as well as quasi-criminal regulatory matters.
Sean Green is a member of the firm’s Capital Markets Group. His practice focuses on securities law, corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions. Sean frequently advises clients on private placement financings, public offerings, continuous disclosure, reverse takeovers, initial public offerings and stock exchange listings.
Cathy Jares is a member of the firm’s Corporate/Commercial Group. Her practice spans a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including business formations, mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions and day-to-day advice on corporate governance matters.
Naomi Mares is a member of the firm’s Municipal & Land Use Planning Group. She assists landowners, applicants and developers with securing development approvals, including processing planning applications from pre-consultation through to approval. She regularly appears before the Ontario Land Tribunal and also advises clients on official plan and zoning by-law amendments, site plan approvals and minor variance applications.
Felix Ng is a member of the firm’s Corporate/Commercial Group. His practice focuses on M&A transactions and advising international clients on expanding their businesses into Canada. Felix represents clients in a range of industries, including pharma, e-commerce, transportation, agriculture, food and beverage, and construction.
Alex Raponi is a member of the firm’s Real Estate Group. Her practice focuses on the acquisition, financing and sale of commercial, mixed-use, residential and industrial properties, with a particular emphasis on land development, condominium/subdivision law and joint ventures. Alex routinely acts for condominium developers and commercial real estate investment companies. Her practice also involves advising private and institutional lenders with acquisition, construction and long-term financing for real estate projects.
Josh Suttner is a member of the firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution Group. His practice includes a broad range of commercial civil litigation matters, such as contract disputes, fraud cases, trusts litigation, debt enforcement, injunctions and administrative law. Josh advises clients ranging from individuals and small businesses to multinational organizations.
